I enjoy sugar. Probably more than the average person. But the great thing is, the average person enjoys sugar a lot too. So this is why dessert is the best part of the wedding meal. Unless you had deep dish pizza and beef sandwiches for dinner…just saying. Give these delicious little ideas a try!
There’s More to Life than Cake
Cake is delicious. It’s a wonderful creation and I enjoy it thoroughly. However, you don’t need to have a cake. Unless you are going for a very traditional wedding and want everything in classic wedding form, ditch the giant cake. This is a great place to start if you’re trying to save a little cash too.
Instead, opt for bite size cupcakes, pies, brownies, or cookies. Give your guests a plethora of options and they’ll love you forever. Or at least until the end of the night.
Have Fun With It
Do something different, like donuts, ice cream sundaes, or a churro cart! Have a smores station, a build your own ice cream sandwich bar, or a classic candy buffet. If you’re having a low key wedding, maybe do a potluck dessert table. Ask some of your friends or family to bring something along.
Go Geographical
If you’re Greek and your fiancé is Italian, have a smorgasbord of Baklava and Cannoli’s! If you are from New Orleans and your significant other happens to be from Disney World, then have Beignets and Dole Whips! That’s a stretch, but you get the point. Make it personal and fun and you can’t lose.
